Exercises For The Suspension Trainers – Lose Body Weight

Dynamic Workout – Warm Up

Initially you want to start with slow flexibility and mobility movements working in different planes of movement

Legs – Lunge

Hook your back leg through both straps low to the floor. Take one large step forward so you are in a lunge position with your knee directly over your ankle. Use your arms out to the side to help with balance until you get used to this exercise. Once you feel comfortable in this position you can add your arms in different positions so the workout becomes more difficult. Now in a stable position push yourself up into standing position as your back leg pushes against the straps, similar to as you would doing a static lunge. Fell the burn into your quads at the front of your legs and the hamstrings in the back of your legs. You should also feel this exercise through your core.

Chest – Press

Stand upright bringing the straps alongside your body putting both hand into the strap. You then want to lean forward onto your toes taking the straps out forward. Work your chest by bringing the straps into your chest and then pressing back out again. You want to have as little movement as possible from your legs so your body is relatively static.

Back – Low Row

Standing upright shorten the straps to chest height. Then just roll back onto your heels as you lean your body back. You should feel the weight through the straps as you suspend your body in a straight line relaxing the neck. Pull yourself back to the straps and continue to repeat.

These are just a few key exercise to get you started and incorporate your whole body. Once you start to feel more comfortable you can play with lengths of the straps so you start to work harder. You can then increase your exercise library and combine with cardio work.

I have added my top 3 based on price and how they feel when in full operation. I took into account the ability for new beginners and for ultimately using for losing body fat and exercising in a fun way.

I love mine and I have had for about 10 years so they are definitely worth the purchase.

    Thank you so much for your review on suspension training kits, I really need to do something about my belly. Ever since the global pandemic, I am as active as I was and I also am eating and drinking more than I was as well. Now I have developed a love handle….

    Anyways, I love these suspension training kits. I love the practicality of it as I do not have that much space in my apartment, I can just do the workout and stash it away when I am done. I will get Lifeline Jungle Gym Suspension Trainer and add some cardio to it. We will see how it goes. 🙂

    thank you for the exercise plan. I will definitely give it a go, it seems like fun! I think the biggest challenge for me will be to keep balanced. It is really important for me to manage my expectations here – how long will it take to see the effect of these exercises? Also, would you recommend to combine the exercise routine with a meal plan?

      Thank you for your comment especially because I truly believe exercise should be fun otherwise we just do not entertain doing anything.

      In my opinion doing exercise makes you feel good straight away. As I do not know more about your personal situation and your goals, previous exercise history and medical condition it is really difficult for me to give you any other prediction. I did this program and I felt different after 1 week and I exercise 5 times per week minimum. 

      I definitely believe that if you are looking to lose weight then you do need to combine exercise with a good eating habit. I will post some more information on this soon.

    Not having enough time is not a valid excuse anymore. During quarantine, I´ve realized that the most valuable good is our discipline rather our time.

    It´s incredible what you can accomplish with your body alone (no special and complex machinery is actually needed far from those that increase gravity resistance).  Thanks for putting together this product review post. It´ll definitely help many as it has done with me, on picking the right tools to start. 

    Among the reviewed items the ¨Rhinosport Sling Trainer¨ is my favorite as it seems to be more durable as its design avoids plastic usage in join points.

    I have *lots* of experience with trying to lose weight–in about equal measure with trying to avoid exercise.

    My couch, my tv and I have a special relationship: by bottom is married to the couch and my eyes are glued to the tv, so we have what I may term a perfect love triangle.

    The most efficient exercise I’ve found is walking. It’s not glamorous, and if (as I do) you walk the same old circuits, it comes down to putting one foot in front of the other, day after day, week after week, month after month, come shine, come rain, come snow. My advice? Get an excellent series of podcasts and prepare for the slog.

    For exercising at home, I absolutely love the idea of lightweight equipment suitable for beginners. My problem is: just look at the young lady in the image. She’s as lean as a ninja and all muscled up. I look like a recently evolved whale which is still trying to fit into its human form. If I tried that fancy pose, the medics would be wheeling me out in traction.

    Needless to say, I have a lot of extra body fat, especially around my middle-and-upper body. I’ll be keeping a sharp eye on your website on the lookout for equipment more suitable for ‘a corpulent gent in his later years’. 😉

    Hey nice article you have there. Thanks for the review. I have been using the TRX  Go for sometime now, because it is more effective for preventing sports injuries than lifting weights on machines because it is more functional.  it exercises groups of muscles rather than isolating individual ones. I have recorded s significant impact in the past six months.
