This is a very interesting and helpful article. I am especially interested in the many health benefits of cayenne. I am going to try your morning recipe using the cayenne, apple cider vinegar, lemon and hot water. It looks like a very healthy way to start the day.
Thank you Glenn,
I really appreciate your comments and I hope that you enjoy the morning drink. I will add a few tweaks.
The number of properties of Cayenne pepper is astounding! I started consuming it a few years ago. I’ve always been in a constant struggle to lose weight and keep it off. I’ve read a lot of books about the subject, and that’s how I came into contact with this pepper.
It’s not miraculous, but if consumed correctly, it can boost your metabolism and help you improve your overall health. The only downside I can think of is its irritating effects. Those with gastritis should limit their consumption.
Thanks for sharing.
Great comments Enrique,
I am so pleased that you have found the benefits to Cayenne Pepper and hopefully you can try the morning detox drink to really get your metabolism started.
Thank you for sharing a useful and informative article. I see that the recipe for Morning Lemon Detox drink is super easy with common ingredients to shop. It attracted me when I read to the benefit of reducing bloating. I have had the issue for couple of months now; and today I came across this post. Must try recipe.
Please try the detox drink and let me know how you get on especially to help with the bloating.
I like the idea of using herbs, and spices as alternatives. I knew cayenne pepper has a lot of health benefits. I was not aware it also helps with weight loss. I see it is a great source of vitamins, and minerals also. Thank you for sharing your morning detox recipe. Definitely noted. Wow, it can also be used topically and a natural remedy for Fibromyalgia. A friend of mine suffers from this disease, and I will share this with him. Great post with the side effects also mentioned. Got you bookmarked as I do love spicy food, knowing the benefits of cayenne pepper, I may just add a little more to my meal preparations.
All the best,
Thank you Michael,
I am so pleased that you found this article beneficial and you will need to let me know how you get on with my morning drink.
I plan to post a few more articles regarding spices and their health benefits.
I too enjoy cayenne pepper and had heard sometime in the past about the benefit of the addition of this pepper for dieting. We do not read about the regular black pepper that we normally eat. Is the cayenne really that different?
The warm lemon vinegar cayenne morning drink sounds interesting, but a bit unusual. As apple cider vinegar has such a distinctive taste. Is the benefit compromised if this is mixed in bulk and added to hot water? I don’t know about taking time for mixing and measuring before grabbing that cup of coffee.
As we are trying to shed some excess weight and stay more healthy overall, this could find itself being mixed in more of our foods. I usually use jalapeno peppers, but could switch to the cayenne, or add a bit of both. In your research did you notice if one of the pepper family was not as good for our bodies to consume. I do know that to get accustomed to the spicer varieties will take a bit of adjustment. Thanks for the information.
Thank you for those questions and your comments.
All peppers come from the Capsicum family but their tastes and hot spice varies. Also there are sweet peppers in this family too.
It is best to serve the drink fresh especially as Organic Cider Vinegar also contains a probiotic at the bottom which you want to shake for your juice in the morning. It is super easy to make in seconds.
Yes, if you are new to spices just add in slowly to see the benefits.
Thank you so much
